Lucky the duck doesn’t want to go to school. What if the other ducks laugh? But with gentle encouragement from his wise friend Dudley, Lucky decides to give Duck School a try—and discovers that courage and kindness can make even the scariest day a great adventure.
As Lucky learns to believe in himself, he soon meets a new classmate who feels just as nervous as he once did. Now it’s Lucky’s turn to share what he’s learned about self-confidence, friendship, and helping others find their own courage.
Lucky waddled over to look in the mirror. He didn’t know why he had been hatched with a red beak. Other ducks had orange or even yellow beaks. Lucky thought his red beak was weird.
Lucky climbed into his little duck bed. He couldn’t wait to go to Duck School again tomorrow to see what else he could do to help make other ducks happy. Lucky had learned a good lesson today.
