Adventures in Duckdale Book 3
Edwward’s Brave Deed
When Duck School sets off on a nature waddle to Lake Pennsyltuckey Park, each duckling is paired with a Partner Duck whose job is to help keep their friend safe. Quiet and shy Edward is partnered with Dudley and isn’t sure he’s brave enough for Duck Games or new adventures. But with a little encouragement—and faith—Edward finds the courage to try.
As the ducklings enjoy a picnic, explore nature, and admire God’s beautiful creation, Edward discovers that bravery doesn’t always mean being loud or strong. When an unexpected danger appears, Edward acts quickly to protect his friend, proving that even the quietest duck can be brave.
As they waddled under those trees, Edward and Dudley saw lots of the bumpy brown things laying in the grass. Dudley picked one up. It didn’t feel nice at all. It actually felt like it would hurt a duck if it were to fall off a tree and onto a duck.
She praised Edward for keeping his Duck Partner safe. Everyone cheered for Edward. He was so happy to have helped Dudley stay safe. He quietly thanked God for helping him be a Brave Duck that day.
